Wayfinder Air is a drone consulting and field operations advisory firm led by Daniel McGreevy, an FAA Part 107 Remote Pilot with hands-on experience across commercial UAS, aviation software, construction operations, mapping, public safety, and enterprise technology.
We help organizations figure out where drones actually make sense, what equipment and software fit the mission, and how to build safe, repeatable workflows that deliver value in the field.
Wayfinder Air is built around a flexible expert-network model. Daniel leads each engagement and, when the scope calls for it, brings in trusted industry professionals, pilots, mapping specialists, software advisors, public safety experts, or field operations consultants to support the project.
The result is practical, vendor-neutral guidance matched to the client’s real needs — not a one-size-fits-all drone program.
-
Wayfinder Air works with organizations that rely on field visibility, documentation, inspection, mapping, or safer access to hard-to-reach assets.
We support clients across construction, AEC, survey and mapping, public safety, ranch and land management, agriculture, mining, waste management, energy, utilities, telecom infrastructure, real estate, environmental work, and industrial inspection.
Whether the goal is to document progress, inspect assets, improve safety, train internal pilots, select equipment, or build a complete UAS program, we help teams match drone capability to real operational needs.
-
Before recommending aircraft, sensors, software, or training, we look at the operation itself.
What problem are you trying to solve?
What decision are you trying to improve?
What deliverable actually matters?
Who will own the workflow?
What risks need to be managed?Once those answers are clear, Wayfinder Air helps design the right solution — from readiness assessment and equipment selection to SOPs, training, software workflow, and program implementation.

dan mcgreevy
Dan McGreevy is the founder of Wayfinder Air, bringing a lifelong aviation background together with hands-on commercial drone experience. He grew up around aviation, began flying fixed-wing aircraft at a young age, and later built experience across aircraft sales, business aviation, aviation software, and field operations. Dan was an early member of Avianis in Austin, helping grow a leading business aviation operations platform used by flight departments. He is an FAA Part 107 Remote Pilot with experience selling, training, flying, and advising on drone systems across construction, mapping, public safety, inspection, and industrial use cases. His work focuses on helping organizations choose the right equipment, build safe workflows, train operators, and turn drone data into practical business value.
